Kolakham is the name of another strange world which is located eight kilometers from Lava. Only 50 houses of Nepali 'Rai' community have been built here. Meanwhile, a few resorts are right next to the Neora Valley Forest.
There is a forest department ban on entering the forest. A short walk is fine though. Change Falls and Chel River are nearby. Kanchenjunga, Kabru, Pandim, Sinyolchu etc. are exposed in the vast blue sky. Time stands still here.
You can take a few days off from the busy world and enter here into an infinite beauty mine. Kolakham is ready to welcome tourists with its beautiful scenery.
If you close your eyes, you will see the snow-covered Kanchenjunga in front of you. The road leading from Kolakham to Lava is almost entirely through the Neora Valley forest.
Many birds can be seen while walking along this road. Dark Sided Flycatcher, Rufous Sibia, Green-backed Tit etc. In the evening, you will see the light-up reshop from Kolakham. It seems like countless bright diamonds on the dark mountain.
