Embark on a journey to Yuksom, the former capital of Sikkim and the initial point of our trek. Yuksom, a historic town in West Sikkim district, derives its name from the "meeting place of the 3 learned monks" who arrived from Tibet to appoint Phuntsog Namgyal as the first king of Sikkim. Just an hour's walk away from Yuksom lies the oldest monastery in Sikkim, the Dubdi Monastery. Spend the night at a hotel.

Trek to Sachen (2,300 m)

Embark on your journey from Yuksom to Sachen, situated at an elevation of 2,300 meters. The path winds its way through verdant forests adorned with rhododendron and magnolia trees. Along the way, you will encounter babbling streams and picturesque wooden bridges. Sachen, a tranquil camping spot enveloped by majestic trees, provides an ideal backdrop for spending the first night beneath the starry night sky.
